Abstract
Identity, on the one hand is an event that takes place in the inner world of an individual and on the other hand is a kind of construction in which the society is actively involved. The nature forming the core of identity constitutes the unity of the individual and society. The nature forming the core of Turkish identity in Anatolia has come from Turkistan. The identity formed by this core has been wanted to carry again to Turkistan by the owners of the identity. This ferment has been based on as the unique element that will turn the unity of the whole Turkic World into a unity. For this reason, interest in the Turkic World has not only been a political movement but also it has found an important place in the community of science and literature. More than the ones who have been involved in the struggle for political power, the ones such as people dealing with literature, writers, journalists and clerics in a broad spectrum have struggled for the constitution of the unity of the Turkic World s identity. Even if this struggle was seen as if it had been interrupted during the period of the Russian colonialism, presence of the bitterly realization of this nature ferment was noticed after the decomposition of the Soviet Union. After the Turkish Republics had gained their independence, significant developments were noticed related to the relations between Turkey and Turkistan. Whether the realization of this ferment will be ok or not depends on the human element.
