Özet

Toksik Epidermal Nekrolizis (TEN), hayatı tehdit edebilen ve çeşitli komplikasyonlarla seyreden ciddi bir hastalıktır. Mortalitesi yüksektir. Sistemik kortikosteroid, siklofosfamid, talidomid ve plazmaferez gibi çeşitli tedavi yöntemleri vardır. TEN'de sistemik kortikosteroid tedavisi halen tartışmalıdır. Burada, fenitoinin neden olduğu, sistemik kortikosteroid tedavisi ile başarılı sonuç alınan, erken dönem TEN'li bir olgu sunulmaktadır.

Abstract

Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN) is a life threatening disease with various complications. Its mortality remains high. There are several treatment modalities such as systemic corticosteroids, cyclophosphamide, talidomide and plasmapheresis. The use of systemic corticosteroids in TEN are still debated. Here we report a fenitoin induced early stage TEN case who responded systemic corticosteroid therapy satisfactorily
