Özet
Postmenapozal hormon replasman tedavisi (HRT) ve multivitamin tedavisinin, majör kardiyovasküler hastalık risk faktörleri olan; serum lipoprotein a (Lp(a)), LDL kolesterol (LDL-C), HDL kolesterol (HDL-C), total kolesterol (TC) ve trigliserid (TG) düzeyleri üzerine olan etkisini araştırmak amacıyla, 43 postmenapozal sağlıklı hastadan, 19 hastaya 21 gün siklik konjuge equin östrojen (0.625 mg/gün ve siklusun son on günü 5 mg/gün medroksiprogesteron asetat), 10 hastaya polivitamin tedavisi verildi. 14 hastada kontrol grubu olarak belirlendi. Tedavi öncesi ve altı ay süren tedavi sonrası serum Lp (a), LDL-C, HDL-C, total kolesterol ve TG düzeyleri ölçüldü. HRT, vitamin tedavisi alan ve kontrol grubundaki hastaların tedavi öncesi serum Lp(a) düzeyleri sırasıyla; 24.9±21.7, 15.2±10.1 23.4±21.3 olarak bulunmuştur. Tedavi sonrası serum Lp(a) değerleri ise sırasıyla; 20.7±18.3, 17.3±10.8, 22.9±21.2 olarak ölçülmüştür. Yalnızca HRT grubunda serum Lp(a), LDL-C ve TC düzeylerindeki düşüş, HDL-C düzeylerindeki artış anlamlı bulunmuştur (p
Abstract
43 healthy postmenopausal patients were included to evaluate the effects of postmenopausal hormone replacement (HRT) and multivitamin therapy on serum lipoprotein-a (Lp-a) and risk factors of cardiovasculary diseases such as LDL cholesterol (LDL-C), HDL cholesterol (HDL-C), total cholesterol (TC) and triglyceride (TG) levels. In the first group, 19 patients were given cyclic conjugated equine oestrogene (0,625 mg/day for 21 days and 5 mg/day medroxyprogesterone acetate for the last 10 days of the menstrual cycle), in the second group, 10 patients were given multivitamin therapy and the last group was the control group. Serum Lp-a, LDL-C, HDL-C, TC and TG levels were determined initially and 6 months after the beginning of the therapy. The mean baseline Lp-a levels of HRT group, multivitamin group and control group were calculated as 24.9±21.7, 15.2±10.1, 23.4±21.3 respectively. After the 6th month of the therapy mean serum Lp-a levels were calculated as 20.7±18.3, 17.3±10.8, 22.9±21.2 respectively. Only in HRT group decrease in serum Lp-a, LDL-C and-TC levels and increase in HDL-C levels after the treatment was statistically significant (p
