Abstract
Robinow (fetal face) syndome is a rare inherited multisystem disorder featuring mesomelic or acromesomelic limb shortening, facial and spinal deformities, hypoplastic genitelia, kidney disease and congenital heart defects. Because there is a potential for airway problems related to the facial features, such as midface hypoplasia and micrognatia, perioperative management of theese patients is important. We report the anaesthetic management of a patient with Robinow syndrome presenting for repair of patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) and perioperative implications of this disorder are reviewed.
