Özet

Kliniğimizde 01.06.1995-15.06.1996 ve verem savaş dispanserinde 09.01.1995-15.06.1996 tarihleri arasında saptanan 151 tüberkülozlu olgunun sosyokültürel yapısı incelendi. Olguların 60 (%39.74)'ı kadın, 91 (%60.26)'i erkekti. Yaş ortalamaları kadınlarda 34.42 ± 16.17, erkeklerde 32.71 ± 14.13 idi. Yetmişyedi (%50.99) olgunun herhangi bir eğitimi yoktu, 40 (%26.49)'ı ilkokul, 11 (%7.28)'i ortaokul, 15 (%9.93)'i lise ve 8 (%5.29)'i de yüksekokul mezunuydu. Olguların 20 (%13.24)'si ordu ve emniyet mensubu, 11 (%7.28)'i işçi, 11 (%7.28)'i memur, 13 (%8.6)'ü çiftçi, 34 (%22.51)'ü serbest meslek, 14 (%9.27)'ü öğrenci, 4 (%2.64)'ü çocuk ve 44 (%29.13)'ü ise ev hanımıydı. Olguların %54'ü sigara içiyordu. Hastaların 100 (%66.22)'ü evli, 46 (%39.46)'sı bekar, 5 (%3.31)'i duldu. Evdeki oda sayısı en az 2, en çok 9, ortalama 3.58 idi. Aile nüfusu ise en az 2, en çok 20 ve ortalama 7.13 idi. Ailede diğer tüberkülozluların varlığı %19 ve aile dışı temas öyküsü ise %5 oranındaydı. Çalışmamıza göre bölgemizdeki tüberkülozlu olguların sosyokültürel durumları ülkemizin genel popülasyonununa göre belirgin olarak daha kötü bulunmuştur.

Abstract

We interviewed with 151 tuberculous patients diagnosed in our clinic between June 1995 and June 1996, and in tuberculous struggle dispansery between January 1995 and June 1996 with respect to their social and cultural conditions. Of the cases, 60 (39.74%) were women with a mean age of 34.42 ± 16.17, and 91 (60.26%) men with a mean age of 32.71 ± 14.13. Of the 151 patients, 40 (26.49%) were graduated from primary school, 11 (7.28%) of intermediate school, 15 (9.93%) of high school, 8 (5.29%) of colleage, while 77 (50.99) of the patients were not graduated from any school. Of the cases, 20 (13.24%) were military and/or security people, 11 (7.28%) of worker, 11 (7.28%) of state employee, 13 (8.6) of farmer, 34 (22.51%) of free job or unemployed, 14 (9.27%) of student, 4 (2.64 %) of child, and 44 (29.13%) of housewife. Fifthy-four per cent of patients was cigarette smoker. Of the patients, 100 (66.22%) were married, 46 (39.46%) of single, 5 (3.31%) of widowed. Mean number of room in their houses was 3.58 (2-9). Mean family population was 7.13 (2-20). The rate of family contact for tuberculosis was 19%, and extra-family contact 5%. As a result of this study, social and cultural conditions of the tuberculous patients in our area were found more poor than that of overall country population.
