IMPORTANCE OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAVs) IN THE DOCUMENTATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE

Abstract

Cultural heritage is the most important resource providing communication between the past and future. The societiesutilizing this resource in the best way, have had an inventory of cultural heritage and contributed to world culture. Theefforts made for being able to the accurate and healthy data in the documentation of cultural heritage led the newtechniques to emerge other than documentation and, together with the developing technology, documentation withtraditional method replaced with modern documentation techniques using new technological devices. One of thesedocumentation techniques is the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in the documentation studies. In this study,the usability of unmanned aerial vehicles in the studies of cultural heritage was studied.
