Class I pentalogy of Cantrell: a rare case report

Abstract

Pentalogy of Cantrell is characterized by the presence of five major congenital defects involving the abdominalwall, pericardium, diaphragm, lower sternum and various cardiac abnormalities. This rare syndrome wasdescribed by Cantrell in 1958 and it has poor prognosis. We report here a case of class I Cantrell syndromeand our aim is to share difficulties experienced and review the related literature
