Abstract

Migration mobility, which has existed since the beginning of human history, is often manifested by economic, social, cultural, environmental and political reasons. Due to the search for better living conditions, individuals face the desire to migrate to developed countries. For this reason, it is of great importance to examine the reasons for the international migration movement which deeply affects the economic and social structure of the countries. In this study, it was aimed to determine the similarities and differences between the determinants of migration statistics of OECD countries using the data for 2015 by using fuzzy clustering analysis technique. Average Sihouette coefficient were calculated for each cluster number (n= 2,3,4..) and it was decided that the optimal cluster number was two. This result was supported by calculating the correct classification ratio by using Discriminant Analysis. Turkey, United States of America, Czech Republic, Hungary, Mexico, Poland, Slovakia and Chile have similar characteristics and are situated in the same country group. In the analysis of the study utilized the NCSS.12 and SPSS.22 statistical package program.
