Abstract

In this paper, daily closing prices of stocks in IMKB-30 index is examined between periods of August 3, 1998 and August 31, 2000. Afterwards a model with two objective functions is established. The primary purpose ofthis model is portfolio risk minimization and the secondary purpose is portfolio expected return maximization. Suppose the distribution of the portfolio returns are known to be normal with mean $gamma$ and variance $sigma$$^2$ . In this case, we can design the linear expected return function E(X ) and the quadratic riskfunction V(X).Therefore the investor has two conflicting functions. We can reformulated as a single compromise objective function by taking convex combination of these functions with a $lambda$(0 $leq$ $lambda$ $leq$ 1) parameter called a risk-aversion coefficient. Thus, we have a parametric quadratic prograınming problem. We can solve this problem for each calculating $lambda$ with two person-zero sums game matrix and we find some efficient portfolios on the efficiency frontier.
