Swot analysis of private pension system under the effect of macro dynamics in Turkey

Özet

Türkiyede 27 Ekim 2003 tarihinden bu yana işlemekte olan bireysel (özel) emekliliksistemi, sosyal güvenlik reformunun bir parçası olmakla birlikte, yalnızca bu amaca hizmetetmekle kalmamakta, bununla birlikte finansal sistemin gelişmesinde de, önemli bir roloynamaktadır. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle Türkiyedeki bireysel emeklilik sisteminin kısa birgeçmişi ele alınmış ve sistemin mevcut durumu literatür taraması yapılarak ortayakonmuştur. Çalışmada makro ekonomik dinamiklere etkisi kapsamında ülkemizdeki bireyselemeklilik sisteminin bu günkü durumu değerlendirilmiş, Swot analizi yapılarak sistemin güçlüve zayıf yönlerinin, fırsat ve tehditlerinin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract

Individual (private) Retirement System in Turkey, as a part of the social security reform,not only serves to this purpose but also plays an important role in the development of thefinancial system since October 27, 2003. In this study, a brief history of the private pensionsystem in Turkey is discussed and current state of the system is explained by reviewing theliterature. Within the scope of this study, the present situation of Private Pension System isinvestigated with the help of Swot analysis and it is aimed to explained the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats under the effect of macro economic dynamics.
