Özet

Cumhuriyet yönetimi, ferd! hayat üslubuna uygun yeni bir eğitim sistemi ve yeni bir öğretmen yetiştirme modeli oluşturmak istemiştir. Bu amaçla geleneksel eğitim kurumları, Cumhuriyetin getirdiği eğitim sistemine dahil edilirken ya kapatılmışlar ya da laik eğitim sistemine uyarlanmışlardır. Fakat bunların içerisinde en ilginç olanı şüphesiz köy eğitimi ve köy öğretmeni yetiştirme modeli olmuştur. Bu çalışmada 1926-1932 yıllan arasmda eğitim-öğretim faaliyetinde bulunan Kayseri Zincidere Köy Muallim Mektebi yönetim, bina, öğretim ve öğrenci boyutlarıyla orijinal kaynaklardan yararlanılarak ele alınmıştır. Yaklaşık 6 yıl eğitim-öğretim hayatına devam eden Zincidere Köy Muallim Mektebi'nin, Türkiye'de özgün pedagoji deneyiminin başlamasına öncülük eden eğitim kurumlarının başmda geldiği tespit edilmiştir.

Abstract

The republic reign wanted to establish a new education system suitable for the individual life style and a new model for teacher training. This aim led to the adaptation of traditional institutions to the new secular system. Some of these institution had to be closed down. However, the most interesting one among them were the village institutions and their teacher training model. This study is on the Zincidere village teacher training school in Kayseri which was active between the years 1926 and 1932. This study is based on the data obtained from original resources about its education, school management and student profile. It has been found out that Zincidere teacher training school with its existence for about 6 years is one of the pioneers of the modern teacher training programs.
