1933’TEN GÜNÜMÜZE LİSE TARİH DERS KİTAPLARINDA SALGIN HASTALIKLARIN İŞLENİŞİNE GENEL BİR BAKIŞ

Özet

Bu çalışmada; insanlık tarihinin şekillenmesinde etki eden tali faktörlerarasında düşünebileceğimiz “Salgın Hastalıklar” konusunun lise tarih ders kitaplarında nasıl işlendiği ortaya konularak, konunun ders kitapların işlenmesineyönelik yeni alternatif yaklaşımlar sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, nitel araştırma deseninde tasarlanmış olup araştırmada doküman incelemesi ve betimsel içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın amaçları doğrultusunda 1933’lerdengünümüze ortaöğretim lise 1, lise 2, lise 3, lise 4’te okutulan tarih ders kitaplarıincelenmiş; bu ders kitaplarından oluşturulan veriler betimsel analizle yorumlanmıştır. İncelenen 9, 10, 11, ve 12. sınıf ders kitapları içinde Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Tarihi veya Türkiye Cumhuriyeti İnkılap Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük ders kitaplarısalgın hastalıklar konusuna daha fazla yer vermiştir. Bu ders kitaplarında, tarihisüreç içinde kurulan devletlerin medeniyet, kültür ve bilim çalışmaları içerisinde sağlık konuları da işlenmiş ancak salgın hastalıklar konusuna ya hiç değinilmemiş ya da bu konudan çok kısa bahsedilmiştir. Tarih ders kitaplarında salgınhastalıklar; etkili oldukları dönemler, salgının ortaya çıkışı, etkileri ve alınantedbirler öğretim programındaki ünite ve süreleri göz önünde bulundurularakbilimsel ve biçimsel içerik yönünden etkinlik örnekleriyle zenginleştirilerek yerverilebilirler.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to aim to present new alternative approaches to the processing of textbooks by revealing how the subject of “Epidemic Diseases”, which can be considered as one of the secondary causes among the factors affecting the formation of human history, in the textbooks of high school history. This study has been designed in qualitative research pattern and document review and descriptive content analysis has been used. Within the context of purposes of the study, history textbooks taught in secondary education (high school 1, high school 2, high school 3 and high school 4) since 1933 have been examined and the data have been interpreted thanks to descriptive analysis. Among textbooks written for 9th Grade, 10th Grade, 11th Grade and 12th Grade, the History of The Republic of Turkey and History of Turkish Revolution and Kemalism examined epidemics more comprehensively. In this textbook, health issues were covered in the civilization, culture and science studies of the states established in the historical process, but the issue of epidemic diseases was either not mentioned or very briefly mentioned. The subject of epidemics in the history textbooks can be mentioned by being enriched with examples of activities in terms of scientific and formal content, taking into account the periods and periods of effectiveness, outbreak, effects and measures taken in the curriculum.
