SOSYAL BİLGİLER EĞİTİMİNDE TEKNOLOJİ KULLANIMINA YÖNELİK TEZLERİN İNCELENMESİ

Özet

Bu araştırmanın amacı sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde teknoloji kullanımına yönelik tezlerdeki genel eğilimi belirlemektir. Bu amaçla YÖK tez merkezinde sosyal bilgiler alanında yazılan tezlerde “teknoloji”, “bilgisayar”, “internet”, “sanal”, “dijital”, “uzaktan eğitim”, “artırılmış gerçeklik”, “ters-yüz öğrenme”, “sosyal medya”, “web” anahtar kelimeleriyle tarama yapılmış ve 91 yüksek lisans, 22 doktora tezi olmak üzere toplam 113 adet teze ulaşılmıştır. Bu tezler yayın yılı, yöntemi, deseni, örneklem sayısı ve grubu, tezlerde ele alınan teknoloji, veri toplama aracı, verilerin analizi açısından incelenmiştir. Yapılan inceleme sonucunda sosyal bilgiler eğitiminde teknoloji kullanımına yönelik tezlerde genel olarak bilgisayar destekli eğitim, medya okuryazarlığı, eğitimde teknoloji kullanımı gibi konulara yer verildiği görülmüştür. Bununla birlikte tezlerde genellikle nicel yöntemin ve tarama modelinin tercih edildiği, veri toplama aracı olarak akademik başarı testleri ve ölçeklerinin ilk sırada yer aldığı, betimsel analizlerin ve parametrik testlerin en çok kullanılan analizler olduğu, akademik başarı ve tutum değişkenlerinin en çok araştırılan değişkenler olduğu, örneklem olarak küçük grupların tercih edildiği ve daha çok ortaokul öğrencileri ile öğretmen adaylarının tercih edildiği görülmüştür

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the general trend in theses about technology use in social studies education. For this purpose, in the theses written in the field of social studies in the YÖK thesis center, "technology", "computer", "internet", "virtual", "digital", "distance education", "augmented reality", "inverted-face learning", "social media With the keywords "web" and "web", a total of 113 theses including 91 master's and 22 doctoral dissertations were reached. These theses were examined in terms of publication year, method, pattern, sample number and group, technology addressed in theses, data collection tool, and data analysis. As a result of the examination, it was seen that the theses on the use of technology in social studies education generally include subjects such as computer-aided education, media literacy, and the use of technology in education. However, in theses, quantitative method and scanning model are generally preferred, academic achievement tests and scales are in the first place as data collection tools, descriptive analyzes and parametric tests are the most used analyzes, academic achievement and attitude variables are the most researched variables. It has been observed that small groups are preferred and mostly secondary school students and teacher candidates are preferred
