Abstract

The determination of the presence and the prevalence of Mycoplasma gallisepticum and Mycoplasma synoviae antibodies in broiler and layer sera with ELISA were aimed at the west part of Turkey in this study. The material was consisted of 1060 blood samples that had been randomly collected from 60 poultry houses rearing broiler and layer chickens with no vaccines. Chi-Square test was used for seropositivity ratio comparisons between groups according to provinces on 700 broilers from three provinces received. For broilers in three provinces, seropositivity ratio for M. gallisepticum and M. synoviae was found as 26,4% and 60,2%, respectively. Seropositivity ratios of these provinces were showed statistically significant differences (P
