Boşaltım Sistemi Konusunun Öğretiminde React Stratejisinin Etkisi

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı boşaltım sistemi konusunun öğretiminde REACT stratejisinin kullanımının öğrencilerin akademik başarılarına, sorgulayıcı öğrenme becerileri algılarına ve biyoloji öğrenimine yönelik motivasyonlarına etkisini incelemektir. Veri toplamak amacıyla boşaltım sistemi başarı testi, sorgulayıcı öğrenme becerileri algısı ölçeği ve biyoloji öğrenimine yönelik motivasyon anketinden yararlanılmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini, Kars il merkezindeki bir ortaöğretim kurumunun 10. sınıflarında öğrenim gören toplam 58 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, deney grubu öğrencilerinin boşaltım sistemi ünitesindeki başarılarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ölçüde bir artış olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunun yanında öğrencilerin sorgulayıcı öğrenme becerileri algılarında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olmamakla beraber biyoloji öğrenimine yönelik motivasyonları açısından özellikle kontrol grubunda dikkate değer bir azalmanın olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of REACT strategy on the students' achievements, inquiry learning skills perceptions and motivations towards biology learning. The data collection tools were excretory system achievement test, scale of inquiry learning skills perception and motivation scale towards biology learning. The sample included in totally 58 10th graders from a secondary school in center of Kars. According the findings from study, it was seen that achievements of the students in experimental groups increased in statistically significant level. In addition, students' inquiry learning skills perceptions was not founded statistically significant. However, it was founded that there was a notable decrease in scores of control group in terms of motivation towards biology learning.
