Özet
Akrep sokması ciddi, hayatı tehdit edebilen acil bir durumdurve özellikle çocukluk çağında ölümcül olabilir. Akrep venomu-nun etkisiyle kalp, solunum ve sinir sistemi ile ilgili komplikas-yonlar görülebilir. Tedavide kullanılan antivenomun ve diğerilaçların kullanımı ve kesin endikasyonları hala tartışmalıdır.Bu çalışmada dört yaşında akrep sokması sonucu ölen bir çocuk olguda etyolojik faktörler ve tedavi yöntemleri tartışıldı.
Abstract
A scorpion sting is a serious and life-threating emergency emer- gent condition and is generally fatal in childhood. Heart, re- spiratory and nervous system complications may occur due to the effect of scorpion venom. The precise indications and using scorpion antivenin and other drugs in the treatment is still con- troversial. In this study, etiological factors and treatments are discussed in a four year old boy that died due to a scorpion sting.
