Özet
Adölesan dönemdeki sporcularda trokanter minör avulsiyonkırıkları, apofize bağlı kasların şiddetli kasılmasıyla meydanagelen nadir yaralanmalardır. Özellikle 13 17 yaş arası erkekadölesanlar etkilenirler. Tanı inguinal bölgede lokalize akutağrı, topallama, maksimum ekstansionda kalçanın her yönepasif hareketiyle oluşan ağrı, istirahatle rahatlama gibi klinikbulguların radyografik değerlendirmeyle desteklenmesiylekonur.
Abstract
Isolated avulsion fractures of the lesser trochanter rarely occur inadolescent athletes. They occur as a result of sudden and strongcontraction of the muscles attached to the apophysis. Adoles- cent male athletes between the ages of 13 17 are affected most.Diagnosis is based on radiographic evidence supported by typi- cal clinical findings. These findings include acute pain in the in- guinal region, limping, and painful passive movement of the hipexacerbated by maximum ex tension and alleviated by sittingdown. Nonsurgical treatment with the limb resting in flexion stillremains the most common choice of treatment. This treatmentproduces excellent functional results. We present a 15-year-oldmale patient with an avulsion fracture of the left lesser trochan- ter experienced while playing football. The diagnosis was madewith pelvis X-rays, computed tomography, magnetic resonanceimaging (MRI) and physical examination. The patient was treat- ed conservatively with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugand bed rest. He returned to his pre-inj ury level of sports activi- ties within 6 weeks with no complaint of pain.
