Özet

Çalışmamızda 14 no'lu AÇSAP bölgesindeki 45-65 yaş gurubu kadın nüfusun menopozla ilgili verilerinin epidemiyolojik olarak değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Abstract

In this study our purpose was to evaluate the information level of women (between the ages 45-65) in the vicinity of $14^{th}$ ACSAP education center in an epidemiologically. In our region 761 women of ages 45 to 65 were reached by searching household detection cards. They were asked to complete a poll about their demographic properties and their information level on menopause. The average age of the participants was 52.29.4 % of them were in pre menopausal age. In 62.4 % of them natural menopause and in 8.1% surgical menopause were detected. Of the participants who entered menopause, the average menopause age was 45.6 The early menopause prevalence was found to be 14.3 %. HRT usage prevalence was found to be 4.8 %, compliance was found to be 34.2 %.In general we saw that the higher educated group had done more attempts to get information about menopause and had done more checks. It was seen that the ones who took counseling on menopause, the ones who used hormonal conceptive and the ones who had surgical menopause had used more HRT. We saw that even in the Karşıyaka region which has higher health services than most of Turkey, the education and the counseling services for menopause is very low.
