Aşırı Turizm, Turizm Karşıtlığı ve Turizmde Sürdürülebilirlik Üzerine Bir Değerlendirme

Özet

Destinasyonlara yönelik yoğun turistik talep sonucu oluşan aşırı turizm, hem yerel halk hem de ziyaretçiler açısından, bir destinasyonda çok fazla ziyaretçi olduğu ve bölgedeki yaşam kalitesinin ya da turistik deneyim kalitesinin kabul edilemez bir şekilde kötüleştiği anlamına gelmektedir. Aşırı turizm ile birlikte yerel halkın yaşam kalitesini olumsuz yönde etkilenmesi, destinasyonlarda çevresel sürdürülebilirliğin tehlikeye girmesi ve turistlerin bölge ekonomisine olan sınırlı katkıları turizm karşıtı hareketlerin artmasına neden olmaktadır. Avrupa genelinde turizm karşıtlığının yükselişi, turizmin doğru bir şekilde yönetilmediğinde, yerel halk ve turist etkileşiminde çok fazla hasar yaratma potansiyeline sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Konu ile ilgili literatür taramasına dayanan bu çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi esas alınmış olup, kaynak ve doküman incelemesi gerçekleştirilerek kavramsal bir çerçeve oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın temel amacı, yoğun turistik talep ile karşılaşan destinasyonlardaki aşırı turizm ve buna bağlı olarak şekillenen turizm karşıtlığı kavramı ile aşırı turizmin etkilerinin mevcut durumunu kavramsal çerçevede incelenmektir.

Abstract

Over tourism, resulting from intense tourist demand for some destinations, means that there are too many visitors in a destination for both local people and visitors, and the quality of life in the region or the quality of tourist experience is unacceptably deteriorating. Along with over tourism, the negative impact of local people's quality of life, environmental sustainability in destinations and the limited contribution of tourists to the regional economy cause an increase in anti-tourism movements. In this study, which is based on the literature review related to the subject, qualitative research method has been taken as a basis and a conceptual framework has been created by performing source and document analysis. The main purpose of the study is to examine the concept of over tourism in the destinations that face intense touristic demand and the concept of anti-tourism shaped accordingly, and the current state of the effects of over tourism in a conceptual framework.
