Özet

İnflamatuar miyofibroblastik tümör (IMT) miyofibroblastik iğsi hücreler ve inflamatuarhücrelerden oluşan yumuşak dokularda görülen benign bir neoplazmdır. Santral sinir sistemi(SSS) tutulumu çok nadirdir. SSS tutulumunda nüks ve malign transformasyon sıktır. Standartbir tedavi protokolü yoktur ve steroide yanıt değişkendir. Rezeksiyon sonrası nüks görülen,steroide yanıt veren bir SSS IMT olgusu sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare benign neoplasm that consists ofmyofibroblastic spindle cells and inflammatory cells. It rarely emerges and affects centralnervous system (CNS). CNS IMT has a high frequency of recurrence and maligntransformation. There is no standard treatment protocol and response to steroid is oftenuncertain. In the article, a CNS IMT case where relapse is observed after resection with aresponse to steroids is represented.
