Özet
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı; primer beyin tümörlü hastaların Roy Uyum Modeline göreuyum durumlarını incelemektir.Yöntem: Araştırmada niteliksel araştırma tasarımı kullanılmış ve kavramsal çerçevesini RoyUyum Modeli oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada, etik kuruldan onay, kurumdan ve hastalardanyazılı izin alınmıştır. Örneklemi, primer beyin tümörlü hastalar (n: 17) oluşturmuştur. Veriler, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak derinlemesine görüşme yöntemiyletoplanmıştır. Veriler içerik analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Primer beyin tümörlü hastaların Roy uyum modeli uyum alanlarına göreyaşadıkları uyumsuz davranışlar; fizyolojik uyum alanında; ilaçların yan etkilerinideneyimleme, günlük yaşam aktivitelerinin etkilenmesi, yorgunluk, baş ağrısı, görmebozuklukları ve nörolojik problemlerdir. Benlik kavramı alanı; kendilerini kötü hissetme vegelecek konusunda belirsizliktir. Rol fonksiyon alanında; cinsiyet rolünün sürdürülmesi ve işyaşamının etkilenmesidir. Karşılıklı bağlılık alanında; diğer uyum alanlarında yaşadıklarıuyumsuzlukların etkisiyle sosyal ilişkilerinde bozulmayı içermektedir.Sonuç: Hastalar, uyum modelinin dört alanında, ciddi uyumsuz davranışlar deneyimlemişdir.Hastaların herhangi bir uyum alanında yaşadığı uyumlu/ uyumsuz davranışların diğer alanlarıda etkilediği görülmüştür.
Abstract
Objective: This research aimed to examine the adaptation states of patients with primarybrain tumor according to the Roy Adaptation Model. Methods: In the research, a qualitative research design was used and its conceptualframework was formed by the Roy Adaptation Model. In the research, as well as an approvalfrom the ethical committee, a written permission was obtained from the institution andpatients. The sample was consisted of patients with primary brain tumor (n:17). The data werecollected by using the semi-structured interview form with the method of in-depthinterview . The data were assessed with the content analysis .Results: According to adaptation modes of the Roy adaptation model, the non-adaptivebehaviours experienced by patients with primary brain tumor include the experience of sideeffects of drugs, exposure of daily life activities, fatigue, headache, visual defects andneurological problems in the physiological modes. In the self-concept mode; they are thestress caused by feeling bad and uncertainty about the future. In the role function mode; theyare the problems about accomplishing the role laid on gender and exposure of affairs. In theInterdependence mode; they include the deterioration of social relations caused by negativeconditions that are experienced in other adaptation modes. Conclusions: It was observed that patients experienced serious non-adaptive behaviours infour adaptation modes, according to the adaptation model. It is seen that the adaptive/non- adaptive behaviour experienced by patients in any of the adaptation modes to be affected inother modes.
