Özet

Kronik subdural hematomlar nadir olarak uzun dönemde ossifikasyon gösterebilir. Olgulargenellikle asemptomatiktirler. Bazı olgular kitle nedeniyle oluşabilecek nörolojik defisit ya daepilepsi ile prezente olabilir. Bu yazıda epilepsi ile başvuran, kronik ossifiye subduralhematom saptanan ve cerrahi yolla tedavi edilen 52 yaşındaki olguyu sunuyoruz.

Abstract

Chronic subdural hematoma may rarely result in ossification during the long term follow upperiod. Cases are usually asymptomatic. On the other hand, in rare cases, neurologic deficitdue to mass effect or epilepsy may be the presenting symptoms. In this paper, a 52 -year -oldpatient with chronic ossified subdural hematoma with epilepsy was presented. Surgicaltreatment was carried out.
