Acute Cranial Subdural Hematoma Emerging Third Day After Spinal Anesthesia: A Case Report

Özet

Akut subdural hematomlar ciddi kafa travmasından sonra gelişebilen mortalite ve morbiditeyiönemli derecede etkileyen patolojilerdir. Genellikle travma sonrası parankimal kontüzyonveya köprü venlerinin yırtılması sonucu oluşur. Bununla birlikte spinal anestezi sonrasıgelişen akut subdural hematom, nadir görülen bir komplikasyondur. Bu yazıda, spinalanestezi altında sezeryan operasyonu olan ve sezaryen sonrası 3. günde şiddetli baş ağrısı veardından gelişen bilinç kaybı ile yakınları tarafından acil servise getirilen, çekilen kraniyalBilgisayarlı Tomografi (BT)' de sağ frontoparietal akut subdural hematom tespit edilip cerrahidrenaj ile hematom boşaltılan olgu literatür eşliğinde sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Acute subdural hematomas are pathologies which can occur following severe head traumaand they significantly affect mortality and morbidity. They usually occur as a result of post- traumatic parenchymal contusion or rupture of bridging veins. However, acute subduralhematoma following spinal anesthesia is a rare complication. In this case report we representa patient who underwent cesarean section (C/S) under spinal anesthesia and then taken toemergency department by her relatives with severe headache and loss of consciousness atpostoperative 3rd day. She underwent surgical drainage of acute subdural hematoma in theright frontoparietal region which was revealed out with cranial computerized tomography(CT).
