Özet

Etki değişimi üçüncü bir değişkenin düzeyine bağlı olarak sonuç değişkeni üzerinde birincil maruziyet (neden) değişke- ninin etkisinin değişmesi durumudur. Neden ile sonuç arasındaki ilişkinin büyüklüğünün (olasılıklar oranı, göreceli risk)üçüncü değişkene göre oluşturmuş alt gruplarda büyüklüğünün değişmesidir. Neden ve sonuç arasındaki ilişkiyi doğruyorumlamak için elzem bir bilgidir. Bu yazıda bir örnekle etki değişimi kavramı açıklanmıştır.

Abstract

Effect modification is the magnitude of the effect of the primary exposure on an outcome differs depending on the levelof a third variable. It is the condition in which the magnitude of association between exposure and outcome differsamong subgroups with respect to the third variable. It is an essential information to interpret correctly the associationbetween exposure and outcome. In this manuscript effect modification concept is explained with an example.
