FESTİVALLERİN YEREL HALK ÜZERİNDEKİ ETKİLERİ ÜZERİNE BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Özet

Alternatif turizmin önemli bir parçası olan festivaller, kırsal destinasyonların yoğunlaşması gereken önemli turistik ürünlerden biridir. Festivallerin, her turistik üründe olduğu gibi optimum fayda sağlayabilmek için, stratejik bir bakış açısıyla ele alınması gerekmektedir. Bu araştırma, festivallerin düzenlendikleri şehirlerde oluşturduğu etkilerin yerel halk tarafından nasıl algılandığını tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bir diğer amacı festivalin yerel halk üzerindeki algılarının kentsel gurur oluşumundaki etkisini belirlemektir. Bu bağlamda Erzincan ili Kemaliye ve Refahiye ilçelerinde gerçekleştirilen iki farklı festivalin etkileri incelenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında Şubat ve Mart 2022 tarihleri arasında Kemaliye ve Refahiye ilçelerinde yaşayanlara anket yapılmıştır. Toplanan 350 anket üzerinden analizler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Festivalin oluşturmuş olduğu pozitif ve negatif algıların ve sosyal faydanın, kentsel gurur üzerindeki etkilerinin analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda yerel halkın en çok hissettiği etkilerin sosyal fayda ve negatif etkiler olduğu görülmüştür. Kent temelli bakıldığında ise, Refahiye’de yerel halkın negatif etkileri daha yüksek düzeyde algıladığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Festivalin algılanan pozitif etkilerinin ve sosyal faydasının kentsel gururu pozitif yönde etkilediği tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda öneriler sunulmuştur.

Abstract

Festivals, which are an important part of alternative tourism, are one of the important touristic products that rural destinations should concentrate on. Festivals, like every touristic product, need to be handled from a strategic point of view in order to provide optimum benefit. This study was carried out in order to determine how the effects of the festivals in the cities where they are held are perceived by the local people. Another aim of the study is to determine the effect of the festival’s perceptions on the local people on the formation of urban pride. In this context, the effects of two different festivals held in Kemaliye and Refahiye districts of Erzincan were examined. Within the scope of the study, a survey was conducted with people living in Kemaliye and Refahiye districts between February and March 2022. Analyzes were carried out on 350 questionnaires collected. Analysis was carried out on 350 of the questionnaires. An analysis of the positive and negative perceptions of the festival and the effects of social benefit on urban pride was carried out. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the effects that the local people felt the most were social benefits and negative effects. On a city-based view, it was revealed that the local people in Refahiye perceive the negative effects at a higher level. It was determined that perceived the positive effects and social benefits of the festival positively affect urban pride. According to the results obtained, suggestions were presented.
