Abstract
Early recognition and referral of patients with worsening respiratory function while on conventional oxygensupport therapies such as nasal cannula, simple facemask or mask with reservoir bags is important to ensuretimely and safe escalation of respiratory support. Early optimization of care and involvement of Intensive CareUnit (ICU) is recommended.
