Mevsimsel allerjik rinitli hastalarda flutikazon propiyonat ve loratadinin tedavi sonuçları

The results of therapy with fluticasone propionate and loratadine in patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis

Özet

Mevsimsel allerjik rinit günümüzde oldukça sık karşılaşılan bir hastalıktır. Bu hastalığın tedavisinde kullanılan ilaçlar arasında topikal kortikosteroidler ve antihistaminler önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. İki yıllık period içerisinde mevsimsel allerjik rinitli 84 hasta üzerinde yaptığımız prospektif çalışma sonucunda, flutikazon propiyonat ve loratadin kullanan guruplarda, plasebo gurubuna göre semptomlarda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir iyileşme olduğunu saptanmıştır. Flutikazon propiyonat ve loratadin kullanan guruplar arasındaki karşılaştırmada flutikazon propiyonat kullanan gurupta iyileşme oranı daha yüksek olmasına rağmen, aradaki fark istatistiksel olarak anlamlı değildir.

Abstract

Seasonal allerjik rhinitis is a disease which is seen quite often, recently. Topical corticosteroids and antihistamines constitute an important part of the medications that are used in the treatment ofthis disease. Our prospective study made in a group of 84 patients with seasonal allergic rhinitis in a period of two years demonstrated statistically significant im provement in symptoms in the groups in which the fluticasone propionate and loratadine have been used compared with the placebo group. In the comparison between the groups which have used fluticasone propionate and loratadine although the rate of improvement in symptoms was higher in the fluticasone group, the difference between these groups was not significant statisticaly.
