Özet
Bu çalısmada bilateral brusella panüveiti olan bir olgu bildirilmektir. Hastada yüksek serum antikor titreleri ile de desteklenen kronik aktif bruselloz oldugu gösterildi. Hastada agresif sistemik bruselloz tedavisi ve topikal tedaviye ragmen haftalar içinde bilateral katarakt, görme azlıgı ve fitizis bulbiye gidis gelisti. Bruselloz özellikle hastalıgın endemik oldugu bölgelerde panüveit ve endoftalmi ayırıcı tanısında düsünülecek hastalıklar listesine eklenmelidir.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to report a case of severe bilateral panuveitis associated with brucellosis. The patient had chronic active brucellosis confirmed by elevated serum antibody titers. Bilateral pre-phytisis bulbi, total cataract and loss of vision developed with in weeks despite aggressive systemic and topical therapy. Brucellosis should be added to the list of differential diagnosis of panuveitis and endophthalmitis especially in endemic regions.
