Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the comparison CRP, RF and ESR levels of young and old Anti-CCP positive patients. Retrospectively, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), rheumatoid factor (RF) and Anti-CCP levels of five hundered-four patients investigated in this study. Anti- CCP were positive in 108 patients ( 21.44 % ). Anti-CCP positive patients were separeted in to two groups as old group ( 60 years, n = 26 ) young group (< 60 years, n = 82). There were no statistically significant differences between for RF and CRP the Anti-CCP positive old group and young group. However, ESR levels were found higher significantly in young group than old group ( p < 0.05 ). There was positive corelation between Anti-CCP and RF values in young group (r = 0.295, p < 0.05 ).We could not find any significant relation between Anti-CCP and RF values in old group. The results of our study suggest that the presence of elevated RF titers were useful for RA diagnosis in young patients versus old patients.emia in abortion imminens incomplete abortion and missed abortion.
