Özet

Güvenlik duygusu sosyo-kültürel farklılıkların bulunduğu kentsel alanlarda suç korkusuyla ilişkili bir problem konusudur. Bu makalede planlama ve tasarım parametresi olarak güvenlik duygusu, istanbul'un Asya yakasındaki Alaşehir adı verilen toplu konut alanında incelenmiştir. Bu makalenin amacı mahremiyet bölgeleri ve yerleşim konumlarına dayalı olarak kullanıcı duygularındaki değişimleri saptamaktır. Güvenlik duygusunun değerlendirilmesi konut bölgesindeki suç sıklığı, sirkülasyon alanlarının bütünleşme değeri ve kullanıcıların suça karşı tepkileri gibi belirleyicilere dayalıdır. Konut konumları ile güvenlik duygusu arasında geceye ve gündüze göre kuvvetli ilişkilerin olduğu saptanmıştır. Diğer bir bağıntıysa, güvenlik duygusuyla mekansal bütünleşme arasındadır. Güvenlik duygusu ayrık alanlarda yaşayan kullanıcılar için daha düşük olarak bulunmuştur. Diğer yandan bu araştırma bölgeler ve dolaşım alanlarının bütünleşme/derinlik değerleri arasında ilişkiler olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır.

Abstract

Perception of the security feeling is a problematic issue related with the fear of crime in urban areas, where the socio-cultural differences found in. In this paper as a parameter of the planning and design issues, the security feeling has been investigated in a mass-housing compound, 'Atasehir', in Asian part of Istanbul. The aim of this paper is to determine the changes in user feelings about the privacy zones in accordance with the location of the dwelling. Evaluation of the security feeling is based on the determinants like crime frequencies in the residential zone, integration values of circulation routes, and residents' responses about the crime. There is a high correlation between the residential location and the security feeling in accordance with the day and night. Also, there is a correlation between the spatial integration values and the security feeling. The analysis show that there is a high security feeling among the residents who lives in more integrated in terms of inner zones especially during the day and night. The feeling of security has been found lower among the résidents who live in isolated areas. On the other hand this research supports that there is a significant relationship between the regions and the integration /depth values of circulation routes. Although, the crime frequency is low in inner zones and especially in densely populated public areas, the crime frequency is very high in outer zones or in more segregated routes.
