Özet
20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren kitle turizmi hızla yaygınlaşmış, turist profili değişmiş, turistin talep ve beklentileri artmış ve toplumda tüketim kültürü egemen hale gelmiştir. Bu süreçte dünyada ekonomik, siyasal, sosyal, kültürel ve organizasyonel değişimler yaşanmış, mimarlık anlayışı ve mimari eğilimler değişmiş, konaklama tesisleri de bu değişimlere uyum sağlamak üzere farklılaşmıştır Bu çalışmada tatil amaçlı konaklama tesislerinde zamana bağlı değişim ve tüketim kavramları Antalya örneğinde incelenmiş ve sonuçta günümüz yaklaşımları irdelenerek bu değişimin yarattığı farklı mekan ve mimarlık anlayışları ve olası gelişimler tartışılmıştır.
Abstract
Starting from the second half of the 20th century, mass tourism has started to spread; the profile of the tourists, the expectations of them have altered. In this period, there have been many changes in economical, political, social, cultural land architectural fields. In order to cope with these, resort hotels have also changed and developed. Today, it is apparent that the demands of the consumers from the resort hotels has changed and it can be clearly observed that it is insufficient to meet only the need of resting. In addition the consumers expect more about entertainment and facilities. In order to take place in the market and to survive, it is necessary to be distinctive, to present a new image and to offer new facilities. It can be suggested that the resort hotels built with a concept of formal imitations will fade rapidly and loose its value since they will cause boredom in a short period. However, the ones diverse in the means of facilities they offer, without con-ceding the architectural qualities and uniqueness-, will be more successful in a long time period. In the survey of the region Antalya, by analyzing the spatial transformations in resort hotels, the reasons and results of these changes are evaluated, proposals are developed to build up a more conscious approach for the design process.
