Tasarım diyalogunda imgeler ve sözcükler

Özet

Tasarlamak yani, düşüncenin nesnesinin elde edilmesinin önce ve/veya sonra da söze dökmeyle (dil ile) ilişkili olduğu ve bu yolla gelişip beslendiği göz önüne alındığında, stüdyo yaşantısı ve onun önemli bir parçası olan masa başı eleştirileri, imge-söz birlikteliğine dayalı çok yönlü düşünmek ve yeniyi üretmek için geniş bir seçenekler ortamı sunar. Tasarım düşüncesini dışlaştırmanın en doğal aracı olarak eskiz, tetiklediği karşılıklı konuşma yoluyla söz-imge birlikteliğini besler. Bir imge makinesi olarak bilgisayarın tasarıma katkısı halen daha da gelişmiş değildir. Bu konular ekseninde Wittgenstein'in dil kuramı ve hermeneutikfelsefe, Bartlett 'in bellek ile ilgili araştırmaları çalışmaya esin kaynağı olmuş, imge-metafor ve imge-diyalog ilişkisi bağlamında kavram, esin, sezgi gibi kavramların tartışılmasına katkıda bulunmuşlardır.

Abstract

Design opens a field of expression to the designer through which he/she feels his or her existence. This is because design is creating something that did not previously exist. This viewpoint requires an open-ended communication milieu in design studio, which helps the development of the background ideas of the design, improvement of the formal vocabulary of a designer in general, not necessarily the formal characteristics of design proposal. This communication occurs between student and advisor only in an empathic way: dialog, where understanding each other and sharing of meaning develop. In this process production of the image and questioning of its meaning are achieved as well. Design, an activity to obtain the object of the idea previously or even afterwards is related to verbal expression -language- through, which it is developed and improves itself. From this point of view, studio critique provides rich possibilities for divergent and creative thinking based on image-word relations. Sketch making that is the basic tool for representation of design idea nourishes the image-word cooperation by encouraging the verbal response. Apparently computer and its contribution to design activity as an image machine have not yet better developed. In the line of these subjects Wittgenstein's "language" theory, hermeneuticphilosophy and Bartlett's studies on memory have been an inspiration for the study. They also made a crucial contribution to discuss concepts of design idea, inspiration and intuition in the context of image-metaphor as well as image-dialogue relationships.
