The Bibliometric Analysis of National, and International Studies on Ethical Entrepreneurship

Özet

Amaç – Makalenin, etik girişimcilik üzerine ulusal ve uluslararası literatürdeki yayınlar incelenerek ilgilieserlere genel bir bakış sağlaması, ağ yapıları hakkında bilgi vermesi, alanda zamanla meydana gelengelişme, değişimlerin izlenmesine olanak sunması ve girişimcilikte etik bilincinin yaygınlaşması içingelecek çalışmalara ışık tutması beklenmektedir. Yöntem – Ulusal düzeyde tüm zamanlar için Ulakbim, TR dizin veri tabanında, konu sekmesinde“girişimcilik” ve “etik” kelimeleri ile uluslararası düzeyde aynı mantıkla Web Of Science veri tabanındaSCI, SSCI ve AHCI atıf indekslerinde konu sekmesinde aynı kelimelerin İngilizceleri kullanılarak(“entrepreneurship” AND “ethics”) 2021 yılına kadar yapılan tarama sonucunda ulaşılan yayınlarincelenmiştir. Uluslararası yayınlar için VOS Viewer programı aracılığıyla sosyal ağ analizi yapılarak,kurum, yazar iş birlikleri haritalar halinde sunulmuştur. Çalışmada ulusal ve uluslararası yazında toplam313 eser, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden bibliyometrik atıf analizi tekniği ile incelenmiştir. Bulgular – Ulusal yazında, etik ve girişimcilik konusunun yeterince çalışılmadığı; uluslararası yayınlardaise, 2013 ve sonrasında özellikle etik konusuna dergilerin yer ayırması, teknolojik gelişmeler gibi nedenlerleçalışma sayısında dikkat çekici bir artış bulgulanmıştır. Uluslararası literatürde yer alan çalışmalar ilekarşılaştırıldığında ulusal literatürde konunun sosyal girişimcilik boyutunun ele alınmadığı dikkatçekmektedir. Uluslararası çalışmalara göre ulusal çalışmalara yapılan atıf sayısının oldukça düşük kalmasıfarkındalık düzeyinin düşüklüğünü ortaya koymaktadır. Tartışma – Akademik camianın, ulusal ya da uluslararası yazında, etik girişimcilik konusunu, mikro, mezove makro seviyelerde araştırmaları aracılığıyla bilimsel verilerle desteklemesi ve gelişmesine katkıdabulunması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmalar, örgütlere zorlu Kızıldeniz şartlarında sürdürülebilirlikleri içinönemli bir unsur olan etik girişimciliğe odaklanmaları konusunda fayda sağlayacaktır.

Abstract

Purpose – In the study, it is expected to provide an overview of the related publications by examining thestudies on ethical entrepreneurship in the national and international literature, to provide information aboutnetwork structures, to enable the monitoring of developments and changes in the field as well as to shedlight on future studies in order to spread ethical awareness in entrepreneurship.. Design/methodology/approach – Studies on “ethics” and “entrepreneurship” on the subject through TRIndex Turkish Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBİM) until 2021 and similarly on “ethics”AND “entrepreneurship” (in English) on the subject published under the SCI, SSCI and AHCI citationindexes through Web of Science database were analyzed. As a result of the research, using social networkanalysis via VOS Viewer program for international publications institutions and author collaborations werepresented in maps. In the study, a total of 313 works in national and international literature were examinedusing the bibliometric citation analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods.Findings – Based on the studies published in the Ulakbim TR index, it is seen that the issue of ethics andentrepreneurship has not been studied sufficiently in the national literature. In the Web of Science database,there is a remarkable increase in the number of studies in 2013, and later due to reasons such as journalsparticularly devoted to the ethics subject, and technological developments. When compared with the studiesin the international literature, it is noteworthy that the social entrepreneurship dimension of the subject isnot discussed in the national literature. In addition, in terms of citations, the fact that the number of citationsto national studies is quite low compared to international ones reveals the low level of awareness. Discussion – The analysis shows that the issue of ethical entrepreneurship has not been sufficiently coveredin national studies yet and that it is insufficient to determine the connection between the issue of ethics andentrepreneurship. The academic community needs to support and contribute to the development of ethicalentrepreneurship with scientific data through researches at micro, meso and macro levels. So that, thosestudies will draw the attention of organizations to focus on ethical entrepreneurship in challenging RedOcean conditions for their sustainability.
