Abstract

Considered as the basic elements of culture; religion, comes forward in terms of impact among other factors. This impact is being used through scriptures; it is seen in works written in that area. In our country, conservative intellectuals, out- side the field of religious studies, have benefited from the Qur'an, especially in li- terature. One of these conservative intellectuals, Necip Fazil Kisakurek, in his book “Esselam” described the Life of the Prophet by sixty-three poems, with quo- ting in many Qur'anic references and reminders. He quoted with a fine work- manship, with fewer words possible, tries to give the meanings of the verses. In many poems, he refers to one or more verses with regard to talmih. As a con- temporary poet, it is noteworthy that Necip Fazıl used Iktibas and Talmih in Turkish-Islamic Literature and arts.
