Özet

Sultan II. Abdülhamid kendi döneminde, ülke genelinde at ve beygir cinsinin ıslahı ve sayısını artırmak, ordunun çeşitli sınıflarının ihtiyacını karşılamak, çiftlik sahiplerinin ve ziraat ile meşgul olanların kullanacağı hayvanı temin etmek ve bu konuda yabancı ülkelerden hayvan teminine ihtiyaç duymamak için “Hayvan Çift-likleri” kurdurmuştur. Bu çiftliklerden bazıları özel olarakaskeriyenin ihtiyacını karşılamaya yönelik olmuştur. Sultansuyu, Botan, Hamra, Veziriye, Harnini çiftlik-leri örnek olarak verilebilir. Bu çiftlikler Dördüncü, Beşinci ve Altıncı Ordu’nun Remont bölüklerinin at ve beygir ihtiyacını karşılamak amacıyla kurulmuştur. Çiftlikler, Dicle ve Fırat Nehri vadisinde yer almaktadır. Sultan II. Abdülhamid Irak coğrafyasında devletin hâkimiyetini tesis etmek amacıyla bu coğrafyadaki arazileri bir yandan Hazine-i Hassa Nezareti çatısı al-tında toplarken diğer yanda da Dicle ve Fırat Nehri üzerindeki askeri kontrolü ar-tırmaya çalışmıştır. BumakaledeDicleNehrivadisindekurulan,Tikrit-Musulkarayolugü-zergâhında ve aynı zamanda Şammar Aşireti’nin temel yerleşim alanı içerisinde bulunan ve Altıncı Ordu Müşirliği’ne tahsis edilmiş olan Harnini/Kharnini Çiftliği ele alınmıştır.

Abstract

Sultan Abdulhamid II had “Animal Farms” established in his reign in order to improve the species of horse and hack and increase their numbers, meet needs of various classes of the army, supply animals for farm owners and people who dealt with agriculture, and not to have to export from foreign countries in this is-sue. Some of these farms were specifically aimed at meeting the needs of the military. Among them were, for instance, Sultansuyu, Botan, Hamra, Veziriye and Harnini farms. These farms were founded to provide Remont troop of the Army fourth, fifth and sixth with horse and hack. The farms was that they were located in the valley of Tigris and Euphares.Sultan Abdulhamid II intended to gather all the fields there under the same roof of ministry of finance to have the control of the state in the Iraqi geography while he was trying to enhance the military control over Tigris and Euphares.This study is informed about Harnini/Kharnini farm, which was established in the valley of Tigris, located on the way of Takrit-Mosul highway, allocated to the commandership of Army sixth, and, at the same time, located in the settlement area of Semmer tribe. Moreover, the study is provided information about the operation of thefarm. The study will also be supported with maps and drawings.
