Hırvatistan tarih ders kitaplarında Osmanlı- Türk İmajı

Özet

Milliyetçi tarih yazımcılığı çerçevesinde kaleme alınarak zorunlu eğitim kurumlarında öğrencileresunulan ders kitapları, ulus inşasında kullanılan başlıca araçlardan birisidir. Bu çalışmada,Hırvatistanda ortaokul ve lise düzeyinde okutulan tarih kitaplarında nasıl bir Osmanlı-Türk imgesioluşturulduğu incelenmiştir. Hırvatistanda 2007den bu yana hazırlanan ders kitaplarında siyasidoğruculuk dili ve anlatısının benimsendiği görülüyor. Ancak, kitaplarda yer alan görsellerinseçimi, kullanımı ve benimsenen anlatım tarzı bakımından önemli iyileşmeler kaydedilmiş olsa da,milliyetçi tarih yazımcılığının ana temalarının kitap metinlerine içkin kalması nedeniyle, milliyetçikalıpları destekleyen, biz-ötekiler ayrımına dayalı bir tarih anlatısının devam ettiği saptanmıştır.

Abstract

Textbooks proposed in compulsory education institutions, if they are written in line with nationalisthistoriography, are among the principal tools of nation-building. This paper examines the Ottoman-Turk image given through secondary education history textbooks in Croatia. Since 2007 thelanguage adopted in history textbooks deserves to be qualified as politically correct. There is aconsiderable improvement, compared to the previous period, as far as narratives and choice ofillustrations are concerned. Nevertheless, because of the fact that central themes of the nationalisthistoriography are preserved in the texts, a history perception supporting nationalist stereotypesbased on the divide between us and them is still present.
