Abstract
A carcinoid tumour case has an asymptomatic course although it has widespread hepatic metastases. Carcinoid tumours are rarely seen tumours. Most of these tumours originate from enterochromaffin cells of the gastrointestinal system and some originate from pancreas islet cells. They are mostly located in mid intestinal portion and slowly growing tumours. These tumours metastase to the liver very often and the clinical symptoms depend on their metastases and hormones they secret. Here is a case reported in which a hepatomegaly is found incidentally by physical examination and after investigation a carsinoid tumours located in mid intestinal portion is detected. Although liver metastases were present in this case there wasn't any clinical symptom. The primary tumours is treated surgically and the liver metastases are treated by chemoembolization successfully in this case.
