Abstract

What knowledge is and how it is obtained is an important issue that many philosophers have emphasized. If philosophy means generating a rational and systematic idea on exist, knowledge and virtuous, this problem occupies an important part of philosophy. Ibn Bajja, one of the important repre-sentatives of the Meshai tradition in Andalusia; in his work named " İttisalu'l-Akl-i bi'l-İnsan", he put forward a theory based on the process of empowerment of the human being by obtaining some informa-tional and moral gains. The purpose of Ibn Bajjah in revealing the biological and spiritual structure of man is to determine his ultimate goal and show how he can reach it. Our study has been prepared in the center of Ibn Bajja's work that we have mentioned, taking into account other works and studies on thissubject. While examining Ibn Bajja's perception theory, it is necessary to consider the studies of Aver-roes and Avicenna in order to express some concepts more clearly. In this study; In the context of per-ception theory, Aristotle's influence on Andalusian thought and the original contributions of Muslim philosophers were also tried to be shown. In the article has been seeking answers to the following ques-tions. Whether the door of transcendental knowledge can be opened to man by becoming competent with a set of ideas and moral virtues? Can a person access divine help at the point of acquiring knowledge by using his own potential without any outside help? What is the nature of the perception of the human mind and the Agent Intellect? Is the information obtained at the end of this process uni-versal consent? Is it an individual character? With questions; in Ibn Bajjah's terminology, the concepts of sufic, wise man, and philosopher will be addressed, and their reflections on people according to their knowledge acquisition methods and degrees will be opened for discussion at the center of his epistle titled “İttisalu’l-Akli Bi’l-İnsan.”
