Özet
Fatih Medresesi müderrislerinden Mehmed Tâhir Efendi’nin (ö. 1888) oğlu Mehmet Akif Ersoy (ö. 1936), hayatının çok erken dönemlerinde Kur’ân’la tanışmış, küçük yaşlarda Kur’ân hıfzına başlamış ve bu minvalde bir hayat sürmüştür. Bu durumdan kaynaklı olarak henüz yirmili yaşlarda iken Mekteb Mecmuası’nda yayınlanan 56 mısralık Kur’an’a Hitap adlı şiirini yazmıştır. Osmanlı’nın son derece zayıfladığı yıllarda Milli Mücadele ruhunu canlandırmak için çeşitli câmi vb. yerlerde Kur’ân ve Sünnet’ten ilhamla vaazlar veren Mehmet Akif, yazın alanında da Sırât-ı Müstakîm ve Sebilürreşâd gibi dergilerde tefsire dair yazılar yazmıştır. Mehmet Akif hayatı boyunca, Milli Mücadele kapsamında halkı bilinçlendirmeye çalışmış gerek yazılarıyla gerekse vaazlarıyla daha çok, toplumu geri bırakan cehâlet, atâlet, ümitsizlik, tefrika ve adaletsizlik gibi sorunlara dikkat çekmiştir. O, söz konusu bu toplumsal sorunlara Kur’ân merkezli çözümler getirmeye çalışmıştır. Büyük bir imparatorluğun yıkılmaya yüz tutup onun temelleri üzerinden yeni bir devletin kurulmaya çalışıldığı dönem ve şartlar içerisinde, aldığı ağır sorumluluğun yükü altında gâyet meşakkatli bir hayat geçiren Mehmet Akif, vatanın bağımsızlığını simgeleyen İstiklâl Marşı’nı yazarak Milli Mücadele’nin sembol isimlerinden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada, toplumun önder kişiliklerinden kabul edilen Mehmet Akif’in dünya görüşü ele alınmıştır.
Abstract
Mehmet Akif Ersoy, son of Mehmed Tāhir Efendi, one of the mudarrises of the Fatih Madrasah, met the Qur’ān very early in his life, started memorizing of the Qur’ān at a young age and lived in this way. Due to this situation, he wrote his 56-line poem titled “Address to the Qur'an”, which was published in Mekteb Mecmuası when he was still in his twenties. Mehmet Akif, who gave sermons inspired by the Qur’ān and Sunnah in various places like mosques etc. in order to revive the spirit of the national struggle during the years when the Ottomans were extremely weak, wrote articles on Tafsīr in magazines such as Ṣırāt al-Mustaqīm and Sabīl al-Rashād in the field of literature. Throughout his life, Mehmet Akif tried to raise the awareness of the public within the scope of the national struggle, and he drew attention to the problems such as ignorance, inertia, hopelessness, distinction and injustice that left the society behind, both with his writings and his sermons. He tried to find solutions to these social problems centered on the Qur’ān. Mehmet Akif, who lived a very hard life under the burden of heavy responsibility he took, in the period and conditions when a great empire was about to collapse and a new state was tried to be established on its foundations, he wrote the Anthem of Independence, which symbolizes the independence of the country, and became one of the symbolic names of the national struggle. In this study, the Mehmet Akif’s world view has been dealt with and he is accepted as one of the leading personalities in the society. In accordance with the scope of the study, first of all his articles and translations, articles and individual poems in Safahat about the tafsir having been written in Ṣırāt al-Mustaqīm and Sabīl al-Rashād magazines and then collected in his work Safahat have been examined. In consequence of these investigations, it has been understood that Mehmet Akif's world view was formed in the direction of the teachings of the Quran. In his aforesaid works, Mehmet Akif generally discussed the reasons for the disintegration and underdevelopment of the Ottoman-Islamic society. In his opinion, in order to get rid of this bad situation, Muslims should abandon the racial nationalism understanding and act with the awareness of the ummah under the roof of Islam. Besides, they should give up inertia, despair, wrong understanding of destiny and trust (tawakkul) and they must work so as to advance in science and scholarship.
