SAĞLIK HİZMETLERİ MESLEK YÜKSEKOKULU ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN UYGULAMA SORUNLARI

Özet

Tanımlayıcı türde olan bu çalışma Mart-Nisan 2018 tarihleri arasında Türkiye’nin kuzeydoğusunda bulunan bir ildeki üniversitenin sağlık hizmetleri meslek yüksekokulundan 187 öğrenci katılımı ile gerçekleşmiştir. Öğrencilerin %43.8’ i ise uygulamaları akademisyen hoca ile gerçekleştiremediklerini, %21.5 i kendi görevinin dışında kullanıldığını ifade etmişlerdir. Öğrencilerin %58.3’ ü çalışanların uygulama becerilerini öğrenmelerinde destek olduklarını belirtmiştir. Öğrencilerin %54.5’ i formalarını değiştirmek için bir oda bulmalarına rağmen ilk ve acil yardım programı öğrencilerinin %42.6’ sı bir oda bulamadıklarını ifade etmiştir (p<0.05). Araştırmaya katılanların %57.2’ si uygulama yerinde eşyalarını bırakabilmek için yer bulabilmektedir. Fakat Ameliyathane Hizmetleri öğrencilerinin %41.7’ si eşyalarını bırakabilmek için yer bulamamaktadır (p<0.05). Öğrencilerin çoğu %49.2’ si öğle yemeklerinin uygulama birimi tarafından karşılandığını söylemesine rağmen İlk ve Acil Yardım programı öğrencilerinin %36.8’ i bunun tam tersini ifade etmiştir (p<0.05). Çalışma grubunun %48.6’ sı uygulamada kişi başına yeterli uygulama becerisi düştüğünü söylerken İlk ve Acil Yardım programı öğrencilerinin %44.1’lik kısmı yeterli uygulama becerisi düşmediğini söylemiştir (p<0.05). Sonuç olarak klinik uygulamalar sırasında öğrencilerin yanında, çoğunlukla servis hemşirelerinin ve arkadaşlarının olduğu, okulda alınan teorik bilgilerin kliniklerde uygulanabildiğini, uygulama hocalarının uygulama sorunlarını çözebildiğini ancak uygulamaları çoğunlukla hocalarıyla gerçekleştiremediklerini, bazılarının görevi dışında kullanıldığı ve sorunların bölümlere göre farklılık gösterdiği belirlenmiştir.

Abstract

This was a descriptive study conducted at the University in Northeastern Turkey between March and April 2018. A total of 187 students from Health Services Vocational School participated in the study. The students reported that 43.8% of them were not able to perform their practices with the academicians and 21.5% of them were used in the works other than their responsibilities. Fifty-eight students (58.3%) stated that the employees were supportive regarding their learning about professional skills. Although 54.5% of the students founded a room to wear their uniform, 42.6% of the students who educated first aid and emergency program reported that they were unable to find a room to wear their uniforms (p<0.05). 57.2% of the participants were able to leave their belongings at the practice site. But 41.7% of the students who educated operating services program could not find a place to leave their belongings (p<0.05). Forth-nine students (49.2%) said that their lunches were paid for by the practice unit. Thirty-six students (36.8%) who educated first aid and emergency program denied this (p<0.05). As a result, it is determined that the clinical information is mostly applied by the nurses and friends, the theoretical information obtained in the school can be applied in the clinics, the application teachers can solve the application problems, but the applications cannot be realized with their teachers, some of them are used outside of their duty and the problems are different according to the departments. In order to solve these problems, it is advisable to provide appropriate environment for the students to share the difficulties experienced in clinical practice with the instructors and to organize meetings for the solution of the problems of school employees.
