Öğrencilerin Öğrenim Gördükleri Üniversiteye Ait Olma Gereksinimlerinin Çeşitli Değişkenlerle İncelenmesi

Özet
Yükseköğretimin örgün eğitim beklentilerini karşılamada, üniversite-öğrenci uyumu önemli rol oynar. Öğrencinin üniversiteye uyumu doğrudan etkileyen faktörlerden birisi de ait olma durumudur. Öğrencinin ait olma gereksinimini karşılamaya çalıştığını fakat karşılık bulamadığında, alternatif aramaya ve antisosyal yöntemlere başvurmaya başladığı, ileri sürülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda öfkeli ve herkese meydan okuyan bir asi, kötü niyetli bir zorba, hatta umutsuz bir uykucu olma durumların yaşadıkları, bildirilmiştir. Araştırmada, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Ait Olma Ölçeği ile öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri üniversiteye ait olma durumları ile çeşitli değişkenler incelenmiştir. Araştırmada Ordu Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören 1265 öğrenciye uygulanan Üniversiteye Ait Olma Ölçeği ile farklı değişkenler açısından değerlendirme yapılmıştır. Uygulama yapılan öğrencilerden elde edilen veriler ortalama, standart sapma, frekans ve yüzde olarak verilmiş, üniversiteye ait olma değerleri ile gruplar arasındaki farkların belirlenmesi amacıyla bağımsız örneklerde t-testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (One-Way ANOVA) yapılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, Üniversite öğrencilerinin Üniversiteye Ait Olma Ölçeği değerleri ile cinsiyet, ekonomik durum, okul türü, sınıf düzeyi, yerleşim yeri, mezun olunan ortaöğretim türü ve üniversiteyi kazanma yılı değişkenleri arasında gerek genel ölçek değerleri gerek beklenti, motivasyon ve özdeşim alt boyutları arasında çeşitli ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, öğrencilerin ait olma gereksinimlerini gidermeye yönelik, üniversite yönetimlerine oluşturabilecekleri politikalar ile ilgili öneriler sunulmuş, benzer çalışmaların devamlılığı vurgulanmıştır.
Abstract
The college-student orientation plays an important role on replying the formal educational expectations of Higher Education. One of the factors that directly affects the student's adaptation to the university is also the belonging situation. It has been suggested that the students try to meet the belonging requirements but when they cannot find response, they look for the alternatives and resort to the antisocial methods. In this regard, it has been reported that they resort to be in a furious and challenging rebel, a malicious bully, even a desperate sleeper situation. The purpose of the study is to investigate the status of the students’ belongings to the university they attend and several variables with the Belongings Scale which was developed by the researcher. In the research, evaluation was made in terms of different variables with the Belongings to the University Scale which was applied to 1265 students of Ordu University. The data obtained from the scale applied students has been given as mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage, t-test and one-way variance analysis were performed for the independent samples in order to determine the difference between the groups and values of belonging to the university. As a result, various relationships have been determined between the values of the Belongings to the university Scale of the university students and the gender, economic status, type of school, grade level, location, type of high school they were graduated, the year of gaining the university parameters in terms of both general scale values and expectations, motivation and identification subscale. In this context, recommendations about the policies that the university management can build for the purpose of eliminating the belonging needs of students have been presented, the continuation of similar studies has been emphasized.
