Gazlı gangren: Bir olgu nedeni ile

Özet

Kaza sonucu sol ön kolunda parçalı kırık oluşan dokuz yaşındaki erkek çocuğunda bir süre sonra kompartman sendromu ve parmaklarda morarma gelişmiştir. Bu durumu ile yazarların hastanesine başvuran hastaya gazlı gangren öntanısı ile debridman ve fasiyotomi yapılmıştır. Ameliyatta alınan örneklerin mikrobiyolojik incelenmesinde Pseudomonas aeruainosa. Clostridium perfrinaens ve Clostridium septicum saptanmıştır. Hastanın kolu ampute edilmiş ve hastaya kristalize penisilin, ornidazol ve amikasin uygulanmıştır

Abstract

A nine-year-old boy who suffered from an open fracture of his elbow was admitted to the Clinic of Orthopedics, Dokuz Eylül University Hospital. Compartment syndrome and cyanosis of his fingers were observed due to the cast. Symptoms and signs revealed the diagnosis as gas gangrene. Surgical debridement and faciotomy were performed. Surgical materials were examined at the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory. Cultures revealed Pseudomonas aeruainosa. Clostridium perfrinaens and Clostridium seoticum. The patient's arm was amputated. Crystalline penicillin, ornidazole and amikacin were used.
