Özet

Ellisekiz hemşirenin ellerindeki bakteri kolonizasyonu ve maya taşıyıcılığı "borth-bag" tekniği ile araştırıldı. Hemşirelerin ellerinde Staphvlococcus epidermidis % 50, S. aureus % 22.4, Bacillus türleri %17.2, difteroitler % 17.2, Proteus türleri % 5.1, Pseudomonas türleri % 5.1, Enterobacter türleri % 3.1, Escherichia coli % 5.1 ve Neisseria türleri % 1.7 oranlarında saptandı. Beş hemşirenin el kültürleri maya taşıyıcılığı yönünden pozitifti.

Abstract

The hands of 58 nurses were tested for bacterial colonization and yeast carriage -with culture using a modification of borth-bag technique. Bacterial colonization was as follows: Staphvlococcus epidermidis ( 50 %), S. aureus (22.4 %), Bacillus spp. (17.2 %), diphtheroids (17.2 %}, Proteus spp. (5.1 %), Pseudomonas spp. (5.1 %), Enterobacter spp. (3.1 %), Escherichiacoli (5.1 %), and Neisseria spp. (1.7%). The hand cultures of five nurses (8.6 %) were positive for yeasts.
