Koagülaz-negatif stafilokokların 95 (% 39.7)'i S. epidermidis. 59 (% 24.7)'u S. haemolyticus. 26 (% 10.9)'sı S. hominis. 18 (% 7.5Yİ S. warneri. 16 (% 6.7)'sı S.saprophyticus. 6 (% 2.5)'sı S. luçdunensis. 5 (% 2.1)'i S. auricularis. 4 (% 1.7YÜ S. cohnii. 1 (% 0.4)'i S. schleiferi olarak tiplendirildi. Bunlardan 9 (% 3.8) tanesinin uygulanan yöntemlerle tip saptaması yapılamadı.

Abstract

Four-hundred-ninety-three Staphvlococcus strains isolated from various clinical specimens such as blood, pus, wound, urine, cerebrospinal fluid obtained from Erciyes University Gevher Nesibe Hospital Central Laboratory were identified by the colony morphology and biochemical characteristics. Hemolysis, pigment production and some other tests such as production of coagulase, DNase, TNase, ornithine decarboxylase, urease, clumping factor, susceptibility to desferrioxamine, resistance to novobiocin and polymyxin B and growth on niannitol-salt agar and acid production from mannitol, D-trehalose, D-xylose, cc-lactose, sucrose and maltose were studied for identification. Of the tested strains, 254 (51.5 %) were found to be Staohviococcus aureus and the others were coaglase-negative staphylococci. Of the coagülase-negative staphylococci 95 (39.7 %) S. epidermidis. 59 (24.7 %) S. haemolvticus. 26 (10.9 %) S. hominis. 18 (7.5 %) S. warneri. 16 (6.7 %) ŞL saorophvticus. 6 (2.5 %) S. luqdunensis. 5 (2.1 %) S. auricularis. 4 (1.7 %) S. cohnii. 1 (0.4 %) S. schleiferi were identified. Nine (3.8 %) strains of coagülase-negative staphylococci could not be identified with these tests.
