The effect of selected skin and hand disinfectants on some bacterial strains

Özet

Bu çalışmada, hastane uygulamalarında en sık kullanılan el dezenfektanlarının inhibitor etkileri konusunda veri toplanması amaçlandı. Yöntem olarak Alman Hijyen ve Mikrobiyoloji Cemiyeti'nin kalitatif süspansiyon testi kullanıldı. Beş ayrı dezenfektanın etkinliği 12 ayrı klinik örnek ve beş ATCC susu üzerinde araştırıldı. Sonuç olarak, tüm dezenfektanlar test edilen tüm zamanlarda bakteri suşları üzerinde genelde etkili bulunmakta birlikte, sadece Zefort Eseudmonas aeruginosa'ya iki dakikada, Hibiscrub ise P. aeruginosa ve Proteus mirabilis'e bir dakikada etki

Abstract

The aim of this study is to provide some data concerning the inhibitory capacity of the most frequently used hand disinfectants in hospital practice. The qualitative suspension test of the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology was used to test the effect of five different disinfectants on twelve clinical isolates as well as five ATCC strains. It was found out that all of the disinfectants were effective on all bacteria in all times except that Zefort inhibited Pseudomonas aeruginosa from a sample in two minutes and Hibiscrub inhibited P. aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis from another sample in 60 seconds.
