Özet
Bu retrospektif araştırmada, son üç yılda Manisa'da uyuzun durumunun saptanması amaçlanmıştır. Ekim 1995 - Ekim 1998 tarihleri arasında Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Dermatoloji Polikliniği'ne başvuran 14448 hastanın 219'u (% 1.52) uyuz tanısı almıştır. Erkek/kadın oranı 1.15 olup uyuz en çok 20-24 yaş grubunda saptanmıştır. Hastalık kış aylarında artış göstermiştir. Uyuz, bölgede özellikle gençlerde hala görülmektedir.
Abstract
The aim of this paper was to investigate retrospectively the incidence of scabies in Manisa, Turkey, in the recent three years. Retrospective evaluation of 14448 patients attending the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic of Celal Bayar University Hospital in years 1995-1998 revealed that 219 (1.56 %) were diagnosed as scabies. Male/female ratio was 1.15, and the 20-24 age group was the most frequently affected. The number of cases increased in winter. It is concluded that scabies continues to be a problem particulary in the young generation in the region.
