Akut gastro-enteritli olgularda campylobacter sıklığının araştırılması

Özet

Bu çalışmanın amacı, gastroenteritli olgularda başta Campylobacter olmak üzere bağırsak patojenlerinin sıklığını saptamak idi. Eylül 2000-Şubat 2001 tarihleri arasında değişik yaş grupları arasındaki 367 diyareli olgunun dışkı örnekleri enterik patojenler ve Campylobacter İnfeksiyon sıklığı açısından incelendi. Diyareli olguların 17'sinde patojen bakteri izole edildi. Toplam 317 dışkı örneğinden iki Campylobacter izole edildi; Campylobacter suşlarından biri C. jejuni, diğeri C. coli olarak tanındı. Yine 317 dışkı örneğinden üç Shigella (%0.81) ve 12 Salmonella (%3.26) soyutlandı.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence of enteric pathogens, particularly of Helicobacter spp. in gastroenteritis. Between October 2000 and February 2001, stool samples from 367 subjects of various age with diarrhea were examined to determine the incidence of Campylobacter infection. Enteric pathogens were isolated from 17 of patients with diarrhea. Campylobacter species were isolated in two specimens one of which was identified as C. jejuni and the other as C.coli In the same period, the percentages of Shigella (3) and Salmonella (12) isolation from fecal samples were 0.81% nd 3.26%, respectively.
