Broadband Matching via Reflection Coefficient Modeling

Abstract

In this paper, practical method is presented to design broadband matching networks via reflection coefl‘icient modeling. In the proposed algorithm, reflection function values p2 at sample frequencies are optimized to get the desired gain level. At the same time, the corresponding reflection coeflicient values (S2) are calculated and modeled. Then matching network topology and element values are obtained via the formed reflection coefi’icient expression. An example is presented to explain the usage ofthe new method.
