Özet
Plastik boruları dış yüzeylerinden dikdörtgen kesitli helisel kanallar ile soğutan kalibrelerde türbülanslı akışta ısı taşınımı deneysel ve nümerik incelenmiştir. Dikdörtgen kesitli helisel kanalın iç duvarını yatay yönde sabit hızda ilerleyen plastik borunun dış yüzeyi, diğer üç duvarını ise hareketsiz ve adyabatik kabul edilen kalibrenin iç yüzeyleri oluşturmaktadır. Türbülanslı akışta ısı geçişinin nümerik çözümleri, bilgisayarda FLUENT® ticari yazılım programı ile RNG $k-epsilon$ türbülanslı akış çözüm modeli kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Deneysel ve nümerik çözüm sonuçların birbirine oldukça yakın olması nümerik çözümde kullanılan model, metod ve algoritma seçimlerinin oldukça uygun olduğunu göstermiştir. Nümerik çözümden elde edilen sonuçlar yardımıyla helisel kanalda Re ve helis iç duvarı $Nu_c$ sayılarını f (a,b,R,Vp,Vj,v) parametrelerine bağlı olarak hesaplayan bağıntılar geliştirilmiş ve bu bağıntılar ile deneylerden elde edilen değerler karşılaştırılarak sonuçlar geçerli kılınmıştır.
Abstract
Turbulent forced convection in calibrators which cool plastic pipes from their outer surfaces with its rectangular cross-sectioned helical ducts was studied both numerically and experimentally. The inner wall of the rectangular cross-sectioned helical duct was formed from the outer surface of the plastic pipe which was moving horizontally with a constant speed, the remaining three walls of the duct were formed from the stationary and adiabatic inner surfaces of the calibrator. Very close experimental and numerical solutions showed that the choice of the models, methods and algorithms which were used in numerical computations were appropriate. By the help of numerical solutions, correlations for helical coil Re and inner wall $Nu_c$ numbers as a function of f (a, b, R, VP, V;, v) parameters were developed and the solutions of the new correlation were validated with the experimental results.
