Özet

Bu çalışma 19. Yüzyıl Merzifon Şer'iyye Sicillerinde yer alan tereke defterlerini inceleyerek, Merzifon tereke kayıtlarına göre Merzifon'un sosyal, kültürel ve iktisadî hayatına ışık tutmaktadır. Ölenin geride bıraktığı mallarının kaydını ve bu malların mirasçıları arasında taksimini ihtiva eden tereke kayıtlarına göre şehirli tereke sahipleri köylü tereke sahiplerine göre daha varlıklı olarak göze çarpmaktadır.

Abstract

This study examines the Tereke records or the estate inventory of the deceased in the Merzifon Şer'iyye Registry from the nineteenth century and sheds light on the social, cultural and economic life Merzifon. The article presents that tereke records of the city dwellers in Merzifon were prosperous than the ones from the rural village population.
